My Story
Hi Friend! I just wanted to share a little about me and my Scentsy journey so far!
A little about us..... Here in Jacksonville, Florida, I'm a wife to an amazing woman and mom of 2 pretty great kids, 2 dogs, 2 cats, and 3 reptiles. #zoolife We love to Cruise, are season pass holders to Universal Studios and we love F.R.I.E.N.D.S!!
I've been in direct sales for 15 years jumping from place to place. I've done natural cleaning product, nail companies, makeup, weight loss - you name it! I've always been the shy girl. The girl that won't look you in the eye. The girl that will not talk to you unless you talk to me first. You'd think a person like that would shy away from Direct Sales, but I always loved the products, the personal connection and the idea of the opportunity it gives. So… I tried these things but nothing worked for me – So I quit all together.
Fast forward to when I went to a Scentsy home party. I instantly fell in love with my warmer and White Tea & Cactus (which is still my all time fave scent!). As my addiction grew, I decided to sign up in April of 2016 just for the discount. I was done with Direct Sales, but who wouldn't want to get paid on their own purchases, right?
Over the course of 3 years, I hobbied around a bit with it and did what I needed to do to stay a consultant on the books. I bought things for myself and put in orders for close friends and family. Then in September 2018, I lost my job. The job market was awful so a replacement was not around the corner! Scentsy was always my super fun go to when I was feel down so I decided to utilize what I had at the time and work the business to bring in any kind of income to help out with bills and food. It forced me to dedicate some time, be consistent and get out of my comfort zone a little bit.
4 short months later, my business had grown substantially and I was a different person. I was meeting new people and actually talking to them! Plus I was still loving all the goodies and still having fun (which is super important!). It was then that I realized I found my place. This was it, y'all! I figured out the right things to do and it was working! So much that I’m earning free trips and super cool bonuses! Who knew??
I have since taken a full time position in the workforce to get our finances under control as I also work to continue building this amazing business. You always hear people talking about quitting their jobs, staying home and living the Direct Sales life but I never thought that could be me. That I could do that! Apparently, I can..... and you can too, Sis! Trust me on this one.... If *I* can do it, anyone can do it.
